📋 Description

• Develop deep knowledge of Curriculum Associates' core literacy programs and deliver high-quality pilot professional learning • Facilitate pilot orientations and professional learning experiences for teachers, coaches, and leaders • Differentiate professional learning based on educator experience, grade level, pilot context, and district needs • Tailor pilot professional learning and consultation to the district's competitive landscape • Serve as an ambassador for Curriculum Associates • Build trusted relationships with educators and leaders throughout the pilot • Provide consultation on lesson planning, pacing, instructional routines, program resources, and implementation questions • Support educators in translating program design into classroom practice • Demonstrate lessons and instructional routines, followed by reflection connecting instructional decisions to program design and student learning • Conduct classroom walkthroughs and discuss pilot implementation with educators and leaders • Help teams problem-solve implementation challenges • Gather and communicate patterns, successes, questions, and emerging challenges to the Core Literacy Lead and pilot team • Engage the Core Literacy Lead and appropriate specialists when deeper expertise or intervention is needed • Provide context for determining next steps • Contribute field insights to strengthen pilot strategy • Support districts moving from pilot to adoption during installation • Partner with district leaders and internal teams on implementation planning, professional learning, communication, and instructional expectations • Surface barriers and unresolved questions before broader implementation • Support handoff from the pilot team to ongoing implementation teams • Maintain continuous professional learning in literacy, curriculum, instruction, and adult learning • Stay informed about literacy research, instructional practices, standards, and trends • Participate in product, facilitation, and instructional training

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in education with a strong focus on literacy instruction • Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience in literacy • Experience providing professional learning, coaching, or instructional support to teachers and/or school leaders • Demonstrated effectiveness working cross-functionally, building relationships with remote teams, and working with a broad range of stakeholders • Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, English language arts, or related field required • Deep knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction and current best practices in reading and writing • Strong knowledge of elementary literacy instruction and comprehensive core literacy program implementation • Exceptional facilitation skills and ability to engage adult learners • Strong classroom presence and ability to model lessons and instructional practices with students • Ability to observe classroom instruction, recognize patterns, and communicate insights • Ability to provide consultative support while maintaining boundaries between consultation and deeper specialist support • Ability to recognize when additional expertise is needed and engage appropriate internal partners • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments with self-directed initiative • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple pilots, stakeholder relationships, schedules, and competing priorities • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Comfort using digital tools and data • Ability to embody and model CA culture tenets • Experience teaching with a comprehensive core literacy program strongly preferred • Experience supporting curriculum implementation and/or participating in a curriculum pilot or adoption preferred • Advanced degree in literacy, curriculum and instruction, or related field preferred
