📋 Description

• Accept inbound calls from facilities, providers, and members regarding pre-certification within Medicare and Commercial Insurance • Perform intake of member or provider service requests via telephone, fax, and EDI • Screen requests for referral to medical services staff • Approve services that do not require medical review according to the benefit plan • Perform non-medical research, including eligibility, coordination of benefits, and benefits verification • Maintain accurate and complete documentation meeting risk management, regulatory, and accreditation requirements • Protect member information confidentiality and follow company confidentiality policies • Communicate with Aetna Case Managers when processing transactions for members active in the program • Perform other required duties and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years of customer service experience • 1+ years of call center experience • High-speed internet • Secure working space • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and care management concepts • 2–4 years of experience as a medical assistant, office assistant, or in other clinical experience (preferred) • Effective communication, telephonic, and organizational skills • Strong customer service skills • Computer literacy, including Excel and Microsoft Word • Ability to participate effectively in a multidisciplinary team • High school diploma or equivalent GED
