📋 Description

• Provide analytical and operational support to Caremark Underwriting leadership • Respond to ad hoc requests by gathering facts, performing targeted analyses, and producing concise readouts • Investigate changes in pricing and forecasting model outputs, including drivers, input changes, data shifts, and methodology impacts • Coordinate with modeling/tool owners, data teams, finance partners, and subject matter experts • Build and maintain Excel-based side analyses to validate assumptions, reconcile outputs, quantify impacts, and support decisions • Handle structured datasets and extract or validate inputs and outputs using relational data concepts and SQL • Maintain organized notes, assumptions, and reference materials • Prepare meeting briefs, capture action items, and represent leadership in lower-priority meetings when needed • Identify opportunities to streamline recurring requests and improve analysis reliability through templates, tracking, and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, finance, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or a related quantitative discipline • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured modeling (e.g., INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, error checking, reconciliation techniques) • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts for data extraction, validation, and analysis • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, business, data analytics, or a related quantitative field preferred (or equivalent experience) • Experience in PBM, healthcare, health plan, or underwriting/pricing environments preferred • Experience working with large datasets and performing reconciliations across multiple sources/systems preferred • Actuarial student status preferred, actively pursuing actuarial credentials with 3+ exams passed • Ability to investigate ambiguous problems, ask clarifying questions, and drive issues to resolution • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate with urgency, and deliver accurate work under tight timelines
