📋 Description

• Design and maintain reporting-ready dimensional models, views, and metric definitions in Databricks • Build and maintain dashboards for data quality, delivery timeliness, SLA attainment, payer scorecards, and platform cost • Create executive summaries and operational detail dashboards using sound design and accessibility practices • Publish certified, documented datasets for domain teams and analysts • Maintain the data dictionary • Train and coach users to work with data correctly • Define data exposure standards for BI tools, including access controls, PHI/PII protection, certified versus exploratory content, and design and naming standards • Evaluate Tableau, Power BI, Databricks AI/BI, and other BI and visualization tools • Keep business logic in the data layer and lead migrations when needed • Tune queries, warehouse usage, and refresh schedules • Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues • Manage BI assets in version control across environments • Gather requirements from domain teams and leadership • Turn stakeholder feedback into improvements • Track adoption and usage

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering • Experience building enterprise dashboards and reporting data models • Experience working with cross-functional teams • 3+ years coding in SQL, including window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning • Strong dimensional modeling skills, including star schemas, fact grain, and slowly changing dimensions • 3+ years working with an enterprise BI platform such as Tableau or Power BI • Experience with publishing, permissions, and performance tuning in BI platforms • Working knowledge of additional BI platforms • 3+ years building semantic layers, governed reusable data sources, or metric layers • 3+ years hands-on experience with Databricks or a similar cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, Synapse, or BigQuery • 3+ years of data governance experience, including role-based access, row- and column-level security, and handling sensitive data in reporting • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience • Preferred: 6+ years in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering, including 4+ years building enterprise dashboards and reporting data models • Ability to coach users, write clear documentation, and explain data to technical and business audiences • Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD for BI assets, and dbt or similar frameworks • Python for data preparation, automation, or analysis • Familiarity with AI tools and natural-language analytics such as Databricks Genie or Power BI Copilot • Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks certifications preferred
