📋 Description

• Lead key financial reporting, accounting, and controllership activities supporting Aetna’s Medicare Supplement business • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reporting processes, controls, and documentation • Assist with system implementations, reporting enhancements, and process redesign projects • Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation, data analytics, and technology solutions • Mentor and develop team members • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement • Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and business leaders

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, financial reporting, or financial analysis • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial close processes • Experience managing complex accounting and reporting activities in a deadline-driven environment • Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to build relationships and effectively partner across Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and business organizations • Medicare, Medicare Supplement, healthcare, or insurance industry experience preferred • Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, SmartView, SAP, or other enterprise financial systems preferred • Experience with data analytics and automation tools such as SQL, Dataiku, Power BI, or similar technologies preferred • Experience supporting finance transformation initiatives and process modernization efforts preferred • Master’s degree or CPA license preferred • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; equal years of working experience may be considered
