📋 Description

• Conduct concurrent reviews for inpatient admissions and continued stays • Evaluate clinical documentation and determine medical necessity using established guidelines and evidence-based criteria • Collaborate with hospitals, physicians, utilization review departments, and care teams to support appropriate levels of care • Facilitate timely discharge planning and care transitions • Monitor ongoing inpatient treatment and identify opportunities to improve healthcare utilization and outcomes • Communicate recommendations and clinical findings to providers and internal stakeholders • Support effective resource utilization while maintaining quality and compliance standards

🎯 Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license with Louisiana licensure or Compact RN licensure • Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licensure as required • 5+ years of inpatient clinical nursing experience • Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills • Ability to participate in rotating weekend coverage and holiday on-call schedules • Associates Degree required; Bachelors preferred • Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 7 feet of the computer • Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload • WiFi and satellite internet are not permitted • Quiet, secure, private designated home workspace compliant with CVS Health and HIPAA guidelines • Must work within the state and city where currently living • Must provide own workspace furniture • Comfort setting up and using multiple monitors and navigating multiple applications • Ability to use email, calendar invites, Teams messaging, and virtual meetings • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications or similar Google Workspace tools • Ability to access secure systems such as VPN and EHR portals • Ability to manage strong passwords and recognize suspicious emails or links • Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues independently • Openness to learning new skills as the workplace evolves
