• Own and manage the payroll calendar, ensuring adherence to established timelines, milestones, and deliverables. • Establish and enforce payroll cycle governance, including clear controls, checkpoints, and accountability across stakeholders. • Oversee pre-payroll data validation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of employee data prior to payroll processing. • Lead the identification, tracking, and resolution of payroll exceptions, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes. • Manage relationships with payroll providers and third-party administrators, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). • Oversee administration of wage garnishments, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Lead payroll audit and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to final sign-off.
• 5–8+ years of payroll experience, including prior leadership or management responsibility. • Experience managing payroll in a multi-state, high-volume environment (healthcare or LTC strongly preferred). • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, garnishments, and compliance standards. • Experience managing third-party payroll providers and SLAs.
