📋 Description

• Own Aetna Technology cloud reference architectures, including landing zones, account/subscription structure, networking, identity, and workload patterns • Define multicloud workload placement across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Design and maintain paved-road golden patterns, modules, and guardrails • Resolve complex cross-cutting cloud design decisions across the portfolio • Embed zero-trust, identity, and network segmentation into reference architectures • Define resilience, availability, failure-isolation, and blast-radius standards • Own cloud cost architecture and incorporate FinOps into design decisions • Provide architecture for AI capabilities, including compute, data access, model serving, and multi-model orchestration • Partner with AI platform teams on secure, cost-effective infrastructure and guardrails • Author cloud standards enforced through automated gates and paved-road defaults • Contribute to architecture governance, technology radar input, and design reviews with Enterprise Architecture • Evaluate cloud-native services across AWS, GCP, and Azure and recommend adoption direction • Translate architecture trade-offs for senior technology leaders and peer architects • Coach Solution Architects and senior engineers through design reviews without direct reporting relationships • Partner with strategic cloud vendors and internal platform teams

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in technology, with deep, hands-on cloud architecture experience at Aetna Technology scale • Expert-level AWS architecture covering compute, networking, identity, data, and security • Working proficiency in GCP and Azure • Ownership of landing zones, reference architectures, and paved-road/golden-path patterns • Strong command of cloud security and zero-trust architecture, including identity, segmentation, and blast-radius reduction • Working knowledge of FinOps and cost-aware architecture • Track record of driving technical outcomes through influence and design authority as an individual contributor • Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or similarly regulated industries • Hands-on AI/ML platform infrastructure experience, including model serving, multi-model orchestration, and supporting compute/data patterns • Relevant cloud certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated policy/guardrail enforcement • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
