📋 Description

• Lead the engineering, operations, and continuous evolution of the enterprise Observability Data Platform • Own platform reliability, scalability, availability, performance, and operational health • Oversee telemetry ingestion, observability data services, and platform capabilities supporting enterprise monitoring and analytics • Define and execute the platform strategy and roadmap with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering stakeholders • Drive automation, operational efficiency, performance optimization, capacity planning, and continuous service improvement • Establish engineering standards, governance processes, security controls, compliance, and lifecycle management • Champion platform adoption, stakeholder engagement, and user enablement across the enterprise • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing engineering teams • Manage strategic vendor relationships and technology partnerships • Support operational visibility, service reliability, engineering productivity, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale data, platform, infrastructure, observability, or cloud engineering environments • Experience with large-scale data ingestion and distributed platforms • 5+ years of leadership experience building high-performing teams and delivering complex, cross-functional technical initiatives • 5+ years of experience operating large-scale cloud and/or hybrid platforms with responsibility for reliability, monitoring, incident management, and operational excellence • 3+ years of experience leading complex, enterprise-wide engineering initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, business functions, and technology teams • Proficiency with enterprise observability platforms, including Splunk, Cribl, and OpenTelemetry (OTel) • Background in cloud-native data platforms and architectures, including Databricks, Azure, and distributed telemetry ecosystems • Familiarity with Security Operations, SIEM platforms, and enterprise-scale observability, logging, and telemetry environments • Understanding of streaming and messaging technologies, including Kafka and cloud-native services • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, CI/CD practices, and modern platform engineering principles • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience • Alternatively, high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience
