📋 Description

• Develop territory strategic plans and identify national, regional, and local cardiovascular Key Opinion Leaders • Engage KOLs and healthcare providers in proactive and reactive scientific exchange • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, NPs, PAs, nurses, and pharmacists in institutional care centers • Expand research, advisory, and educational partnership opportunities • Identify unmet medical needs and exchange current medical information about products in development and relevant therapeutic areas • Plan and execute Congress activities, including reviewing conference programming, attending sessions, supporting exhibit booth operations, and preparing conference reports • Serve as a scientific expert at conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings, internal meetings, and patient advocacy group meetings • Maintain scientific knowledge of disease states, treatment guidelines, available therapies, clinical research trends, competitive developments, patient care, and Cytokinetics’ medical strategies • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and internal colleagues on medical information, publications, medical education, grants, speaker training, and educational programs • Support clinical development programs as a contact for company-sponsored trial investigators, investigator-initiated research, and registries • Work compliantly with field account specialists supporting MYQORZO • Respond accurately and promptly to unsolicited Medical Information requests • Mentor and support Senior Medical Scientists • Provide strategic input and execute region-specific KOL engagement and Medical Affairs plans • Pursue projects independently with high-quality, timely execution • Maintain awareness of real-world clinical practices, HEOR drivers, and emerging treatment trends • Establish relationships with executive leadership colleagues and connect external parties with appropriate leadership team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, MS, PA, or ARNP) preferred • For Sr. MSL, 0–5 years of clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience • For Associate Director, a minimum of 5 years of cardiovascular MSL experience required • Cardiovascular experience in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and/or heart failure preferable • Analytical and articulate in oral and written communications • Excellent presentation skills • Ability to communicate well with external stakeholders and all internal levels of the organization • Understanding of Medical Science Liaison roles and responsibilities, including compliance with the PhRMA Code Standards, Federal and State promotional laws and regulations, ACCME Standards, the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and company policies • Compliance with credentialing requirements for healthcare institutions, including background checks, medical testing or proof of immunizations, facility-policy training, and confidentiality and/or HIPPA agreements • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications • Valid US Driver’s License and acceptable driving record • Ability to travel domestically approximately 30%–50% and internationally on occasion
