📋 Description

• Provide advanced technical expertise, escalation support, and field leadership across Leica Biosystems diagnostic solutions • Lead advanced troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, repair activities, and technical escalations • Resolve complex customer and instrument challenges • Use service data, customer feedback, Gemba observations, and root cause analysis to identify recurring issues • Implement countermeasures to improve customer uptime, service quality, and field service effectiveness • Serve as a senior technical resource for Field Service Engineers, service leadership, technical support, applications, commercial, and product teams • Mentor others, share best practices, support escalations, and influence sustainable improvements across the organization • Report to the Regional Field Service Manager • Travel primarily domestically, with occasional international travel

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree with 6+ years of field service, technical, biomedical, military, or related hands-on troubleshooting experience, or equivalent experience • Advanced experience diagnosing and repairing complex medical device, laboratory, scientific, electromechanical, electronic, automation, or instrumentation systems • Ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges • Ability to guide less experienced associates • Ability to influence customer outcomes • Ability to communicate effectively across customer and internal stakeholder groups • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record • Ability to travel up to 90% by flying and/or driving, including overnight stays • Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted • Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, sit, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms • Preferred: experience serving as a senior technical resource, escalation point, lead Field Service Engineer, trainer, or subject matter expert • Preferred: experience supporting advanced diagnostic solutions, laboratory automation, complex instrumentation, or other complex customer environments • Preferred: experience applying continuous improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, PSP, Kaizen, or service analytics
