• Serve as the main point of contact between researchers, community partners, the Labor Futures team, and other Data & Society departments • Facilitate and coordinate activities for the Labor Futures team • Assist the Program Director in moving the project from planning to publication and dissemination • Coordinate multi-faceted programming and provide day-to-day administrative, operational, and logistical project support • Schedule and manage meetings and check-ins with researchers and community partners • Keep researchers informed of project developments and support timely completion of deadlines and deliverables • Coordinate project-related financial workflows, including IRB, participant stipends, and approved researcher travel • Support report development and publication by coordinating structures, timelines, resources, and researcher connections • Synthesize meetings into clear action items and identify conflicts, discrepancies, or synergies for escalation • Oversee the operational calendar, prepare agendas and pre-meeting materials, take notes, and maintain shared file systems • Coordinate timelines and deliverables with Communications, Strategy & Engagement, and Editorial teams • Coordinate onboarding processes and financial workflows for Contract Researchers with HR and Finance • Maintain partner relationships and coordinate recurring calls, updates, event announcements, and follow-up notes • Maintain a contact database of project inquiries from academia, civil society, and journalists • Participate in internal programming, organizational meetings, talks, seminars, reading groups, working groups, committees, and professional development activities
• Bachelor’s degree required • 7 plus years’ experience in project management, coordination, community support, or closely related areas • Experience working in a research environment • Deep familiarity with research practices and norms, qualitative and fieldwork-based research, and research institutions such as Institutional Review Boards • Familiarity with Zotero and academic platforms including SSRN, Google Scholar, and major scholarly journals • Established history of collaborative work with civil society, community, and labor organizations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse coworkers and collaborators • Detail-oriented and highly organized • Ability to work independently within a remote-first organization • Must be living and authorized to work in the United States • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before joining, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements • Three professional references required in the application • Finalists must complete a short, role-specific writing exercise
