📋 Description

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits according to scope of work for onboarding, focused reviews, service level agreements, and other reviews • Assign appropriate codes and coding-related elements using MS DRG or APR DRGs • Provide concise rationale for identified changes with documentation references • Keep abreast of regulatory changes • Organize and prioritize multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and turnaround time • Provide coder education through the auditing process • Identify and present solutions for customer issues • Address consulting and educational needs related to coding quality, compliance assessments, external payer reviews, coding education, and workflow operations reviews • Function in a professional, efficient, and positive manner

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing • CCS (required) • RHIA or RHIT preferred • Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate • Experience with software including Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs • Excellent query writing skills • Spinal experience is a plus • Customer-service focused and professional • Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills • Adhere to the American Health Information Management Association’s code of ethics • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
