• Provide high-quality instruction using a pre-designed curriculum • Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees • Provide relevant feedback and support successful learner completion • Be available within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, by phone, email, and in the courseroom • Guide asynchronous 10-week course discussions and provide assignment feedback • Travel within the US for doctoral residencies and other occasional business needs • Use the online learning platform to enrich the learning experience • Establish high standards and explain evaluation criteria • Adhere to University policies and procedures • Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training as required • Participate in other activities based on university needs • Accept assignments on an ongoing basis according to expertise and school needs
• A master’s degree from an accredited Council on Social Work Education and a regionally accredited program is required • All degrees must be conferred and from a regionally accredited institution • Successful candidate must hold a Social Work graduate-level license • Must obtain, at a minimum, a Graduate Level Social Work licensure in the State of Minnesota upon hire, including passing the ASWB exam with their current graduate-level license • Professional experience in the discipline with a minimum of two years required for the undergraduate level • Professional experience in the discipline with a minimum of three years required for the graduate level • Research, scholarship, or achievement in the discipline required for graduate-level • Doctoral-level experience with conducting and overseeing research in the discipline required • Three years of teaching experience preferred • Doctorate in social work or a closely related area preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation • Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing course objectives • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology • Strong computer skills • Ability to manage potentially stressful situations professionally and ethically • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States • Visa sponsorship is not available • Ability to access required information using a computer • Ability to meet critical-thinking and problem-solving requirements and communicate effectively with co-workers • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant
