📋 Description

• Shape the technical direction and architecture of the business unit/vertical • Drive innovation across verticals and solve large-scale system challenges • Mentor senior engineers to maximize impact • Define and lead multi-team technical strategies for scalability and interoperability • Design frameworks and reusable systems used across multiple engineering pods • Define engineering patterns adopted across Datavant • Drive cross-functional initiatives in data architecture, security, and reliability • Advise leadership on technical direction and major tradeoffs • Represent engineering in executive technical decisions and planning • Influence cultural and architectural evolution • Apply deep architectural expertise across Datavant’s technology stack • Guide cross-team adoption and ensure the platform meets high standards of reliability, security, and performance

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated system design mastery • Deep experience with large-scale distributed systems, multi-cloud architectures, data pipelines, and security • Strong organizational influence and ability to align teams across verticals • Ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable engineering execution • Commitment to mentorship, technical excellence, and continuous improvement • Comfortable operating across Datavant’s multi-cloud, large-scale distributed systems environment • Experience with Python, Go, Java, microservices, REST, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, Next.js, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, Snowflake, Spark, SQL, S3, Airflow or AWS Glue, Kafka or Kinesis, DataDog, Grafana, CloudWatch, OAuth2/SAML, encryption, tokenization, and zero-trust security frameworks • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
