📋 Description

• Initiate and maintain communication with facilities to obtain patient insurance coverage information • Enter and update insurance information in billing and patient registration systems • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for outpatient kidney dialysis • Coordinate with Patient Referral Coordinators to obtain registration documentation • Partner with facilities and the Insurance Management Team to resolve incomplete registrations • Review registration denials and determine root causes • Resolve patient account errors causing registration denials • Identify process changes to prevent failed registrations • Determine Coordination of Benefits and maintain current patient account information • Submit internal requests to support accurate and timely claims submission • Complete ancillary reports and assigned projects within established timeframes • Support Patient Account Representatives and other ROPS teammates • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies • Attend meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed • Work overtime with little or no notice as needed • Maintain consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum of three years' healthcare reimbursement experience preferred • Experience with admissions, billing, and collections preferred • Knowledge of insurance rules, regulations, and Coordination of Benefits for federal, state, and managed care payors in multiple states preferred • Basic computer skills required • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required • Ability to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA regulations • Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled • Ability to work overtime with little or no notice as needed
