• Monitor the Coverage Change Alerts (CCA) dashboard and review requested coverage changes • Validate entity and plan affiliations using multiple data points to ensure accurate processing and coordinate benefits (COB) • Review paid claims to mitigate inappropriate retractions • Use Nautilus, Registration System, Sparc, and VIA to evaluate and make standard “Retain” decisions • Autonomously manage coverage approvals and denials with standardized documentation in Registration System/NS notes • Maintain accurate patient accounts and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines • Partner with Clinical, IMT, Collections, and Admissions teams to resolve patient coverage limitations • Use root-cause analysis to identify workflow improvements • Attend and facilitate team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed • Follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, department/company procedures, and SOX documentation practices
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred • Revenue cycle experience required (2+ years preferred) • Deep knowledge of the revenue cycle with a focus on understanding insurance, retro coverage changes, and collections • Basic computer skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Ability to analyze complex situations and determine Retain vs. Resolve strategies based on Retro Coverage rules • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to adapt quickly in a frequently changing environment • Ability to work independently and take ownership of an assigned queue/book of business • Understanding and embrace of DaVita’s “community first, company second” culture
