📋 Description

• Develop and maintain the organization’s platform • Automate and build a runtime production environment • Serve as the link between application teams and platform teams • Advocate best practices and facilitate communication between teams • Validate solutions and implementations against tasks and business requirements • Independently identify and solve business problems • Develop small components to address specific challenges • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate components into a cohesive platform • Estimate time and effort for medium-sized tasks • Own the bridge between application development and the production environment • Take on additional responsibilities as organizational needs evolve

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a focus on system architecture and development • Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud, and Docker • Familiarity with continuous delivery, distributed architectures, systems, everything-as-code, containerization, and cloud services • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or Ansible • Basic understanding of shell scripting • Proficient with YAML • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Comfort with debugging systems and reading/writing code • Knowledge of DevSecOps/DevOps and CI/CD theory • Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance • Active Secret clearance highly preferred • Experience working on an Agile team in a remote environment preferred • Experience with security automation and API, container, and cloud security preferred • Familiarity with architecture security design, monitoring, and performance instrumentation preferred • DoD 8570 IAT II certification preferred • Department of Defense experience and production Authority to Operate (ATO’d) system experience preferred
