Derick Dermatology is a multi-location dermatology practice providing medical, surgical, and cosmetic skin care services to adult and pediatric patients across the Chicago, IL and Tampa Bay, FL areas. The practice offers treatments including skin cancer diagnosis and surgical removal (including Mohs surgery), general medical dermatology, cosmetic procedures (Botox, fillers, laser treatments), in-house dermatopathology, and patient-facing services such as online scheduling, patient portal access, and insurance-friendly billing.

📋 Description

• Act as the liaison between providers and patients to support patients’ ongoing care • Provide pathology and laboratory results • Complete medical records requests • Process prescription refill requests • Process medication prior authorization requests • Perform other duties as assigned and as requirements evolve • Enhance healthcare professionals’ efficiency through comprehensive administrative and patient support services using virtual technologies • Streamline healthcare workflows and improve patient experiences by delivering timely and accurate information, scheduling, and assistance • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a virtual environment

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Healthcare-specific training preferred but not required • Friendly, polite, and professional demeanor • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Empathy and a caring attitude toward patients • Self-motivated and detail-oriented • Ability to work independently • Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with US HIPAA laws and other relevant regulations • Reliable high-speed internet connection • Quiet, private, dedicated workspace within the home • Must pass an internet speed test • Wired internet connection; no Wi-Fi • Must complete two weeks of training; training schedule may differ from the hired schedule
