📋 Description

• Support new student enrollment by partnering with Admissions, answering queries, explaining programs and costs, and outlining funding options • Develop and validate estimated financial plans and establish timelines for applicants • Advise students on academic, financial, and service-related matters throughout their educational journey • Maintain knowledge of academic and Title IV financial aid programs, institutional policies, and federal and state regulations • Monitor student accounts and guide students on financial eligibility, academic awards, and financial awards • Identify academic and financial obstacles by analyzing student data and collaborate with students to overcome them • Track accurate enrollment, persistence, and graduation information using data and systems • Recommend resources such as self-service tools, new student orientation, and online student community participation • Document and preserve all student interactions in the designated institutional system • Evaluate complex academic and financial situations with discretion and independent judgment • Provide one-call resolution through incoming and outgoing calls, chats, personalized emails, and SMS • Advocate for students, connect them with support services, and collaborate with faculty and staff • Meet and exceed service-level metrics while promoting student success, persistence, and graduation

🎯 Requirements

• Some college coursework required • Minimum of 1 year of exceptional customer service or prior advising experience in an education setting • Eligible to access and maintain the NSLDS system • Must not be in default of Title IV Federal aid • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), internet applications, and database software systems • Work environment free of distractions and interruptions, with no conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shift • Home office equipped with hardwired DSL or cable Internet via Ethernet with required minimum speeds; wireless, satellite, and dial-up services are not permissible • Must complete all training-program assessments with a passing score • Ability to work a flexible, consistently assigned schedule including evening hours and Saturdays • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods • Tech-savvy with ability to navigate multiple systems • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, time management, attention to detail, and communication skills • Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to adhere to organizational, state, federal, and accrediting-body policies and procedures • Comprehensive understanding of university programs, prerequisites, course materials, and academic engagement
