πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Identify and pursue ground-transportation contracts across county, municipal, and state agencies in DC, Maryland, and Virginia β€’ Track, evaluate, and respond to RFPs, RFQs, IDIQs, and grant opportunities on SAM.gov, eMaryland Marketplace Advantage, Virginia eVA, and county procurement portals β€’ Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, Medicaid MCO contacts, broker network managers, school districts, senior living communities, and corporate clients across the DMV β€’ Develop the company's capability statement, past-performance documentation, and proposal templates suitable for federal, state, and county procurement β€’ Coordinate certifications and set-aside positioning (DBE, CBE, MBE, SDVOSB where applicable) and ensure the company is registered and active on the right platforms β€’ Brief the Principal weekly on pipeline status, win probability, and required actions; transfer knowledge so the in-house team can sustain the function over time

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Five (5)+ years of demonstrable business development experience that includes winning government contracts at the county, state, or federal level β€’ Direct, hands-on experience navigating the small-business contracting landscape: DBE / CBE / MBE / SDVOSB certifications, set-aside programs, capability statements, and past-performance documentation β€’ Working knowledge of grant landscapes (federal, state, county, foundation) and a track record of successful grant applications β€’ Fluency with procurement portals: SAM.gov, eVA (Virginia), eMaryland Marketplace Advantage, and the DC supplier portal β€’ An existing professional network in the DMV region across government procurement, healthcare, and/or transportation sectors β€’ Excellent written communication
