📋 Description

• Support customer processing, applications, and configurations within IBM and Unisys mainframe operating systems and environments • Control, diagnose, and resolve problems caused by incorrect ECL coding/programming techniques • Provide IBM and Unisys mainframe operations/application support, including IPL in a highly complex mainframe operating environment • Build, maintain, and schedule batch processing, including complex system abend/error recovery • Monitor and troubleshoot multiple mainframe systems and applications in real time • Troubleshoot application support issues to minimize interruptions to customer support • Collaborate with government personnel, contractors, MLOB management, and customer personnel • Track mainframe Change Management, including Change Requests and Authorized Service Interruptions • Monitor system and resource stability using performance/workload monitoring tools • Perform incident determination, resolution, and root cause analysis • Escalate unresolved issues to the Shift Supervisor within 15 minutes • Provide tape service support, including tape movement and tape administration documentation • Provide team activity status reports and participate in meetings • Evaluate customer processing requirements and communicate them to customers and government employees • Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks • Notify customers regarding upgrades, patches, and service interruptions • Update ITSM tickets, system documentation, and incident actions • Contact customers regarding outages, service interruptions, system restoration, and SLA compliance • Provide updates, workarounds, and incident resolutions to DISA Ecosystem, C2 cell, and customers • Disseminate notifications for ASIs, upgrades, software updates, and COOP exercises • Support customer performance requirements and policies/procedures to achieve SLA objectives • Download and install application releases using government-documented processes • Follow DISA-approved Change, Incident, and Service Request procedures • Create, delete, and modify application user accounts according to access requests • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Generalized expertise in OS2200, z/OS, and z/VM operating environments • Experience with JES2, JCL, and OpCon Unisys scheduling tool • Experience using Windows-based personal computer workstations and MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) • Experience with Internet browsers, Mainframe Terminal Emulation Software, and ITSM ticketing software • Experience with BMC Control Products Suite for scheduling • Ability to build, maintain, and schedule batch processing • Ability to perform complex system abend/error recovery • Ability to monitor and troubleshoot multiple mainframe systems and applications • Ability to perform system issue/incident determination, resolution, and root cause analysis • Ability to conduct tape service support for external tape systems in the z/OS Mainframe environment • Must be willing to work 3rd shift • Required IAT Level I certification: A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network+ CE, or SSCP • Secret clearance required • IT-I clearance required
