📋 Description

• Research and document complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memos for finance leadership review and approval • Support the application of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 for subscription and telehealth arrangements, accruals, leases, equity and equity-based compensation, business combinations, and other complex transactions • Review significant and unusual transactions and advise finance leadership on accounting treatment • Support acquisitions, new business arrangements, intercompany transactions, and strategic initiatives from an accounting perspective • Support monthly and annual financial close and prepare GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures • Prepare audit support, including PBC items, audit-ready workpapers, and supporting schedules • Coordinate day to day with the external audit team and manage technical accounting matters arising during audits • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controls across a multi-entity group • Build schedules and estimates for chargeback and refund reserves, revenue cutoffs, and merchant-processor-to-general-ledger reconciliations • Provide technical input to ERP evaluation and implementation • Partner with operational accounting to translate technical positions into clean, repeatable entries • Complete first-year goals including the annual GAAP audit, revenue recognition memos, intercompany and consolidation workpapers, and an accounting policy manual

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting • CPA strongly preferred • Approximately 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting • Demonstrated ownership of ASC 606 positions preferred • Public accounting experience, preferably with a national or Big Four firm, strongly preferred • Experience with rapidly growing, multi-entity businesses is a plus • Healthcare, pharmacy, DTC subscription, or e-commerce exposure is a plus • Strong analytical, research, documentation, and communication skills • Ability to create workpapers, policies, and processes and clearly explain reasoning to auditors, lenders, and non-accountants • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required • Dependable personal desktop or laptop computer • Headphones suitable for video calls • Consistent access to high-speed internet
