• Support DLB’s mission-critical projects focused on building automation systems, power management systems, controls integration, and smart building solutions • Provide technical and project leadership for planning and designing BAS/PMS and integrated control systems • Develop and maintain DLB controls, BAS, and EPMS standards and specifications • Oversee subconsultant scopes of work, Statements of Objectives, construction drawings, and technical specifications • Review subconsultant deliverables for completeness, accuracy, project alignment, codes, regulations, and DLB QA/QC standards • Coordinate with project teams and external partners to monitor scope compliance, quality, and timely delivery • Create and manage design drawings, sequences of operations, and specifications • Assist with engineering drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, including floor plans, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and control panel diagrams • Coordinate BAS-related items with MEP trades • Identify potential scope changes and help minimize cost and schedule impacts • Manage project deliverables when not serving as lead design engineer • Provide training, guidance, and support on standards implementation and compliance • Collaborate with outsource partners on standards and training compliance • Manage and review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and closeout documents • Assist with onsite BAS engineering audits, feasibility studies, and retrofit surveys • Prepare and oversee project progress reports and departmental reports • Handle project contract administration • Leverage AI-enabled and digital tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and maintain high-quality output • Identify process improvements and support adoption of emerging technologies • Coordinate engineering and production staff and serve as technical lead or project point of contact • Perform other related duties as assigned
• B.A./B.S. degree in Engineering, construction, or related disciplines • Minimum of 8 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering • Advanced knowledge of open-source protocols, including BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP • Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions • Knowledge of typical data center control redundancy strategies • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in construction of mission-critical or commercial buildings • Advanced proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize operational processes • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness • Ability to identify and analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication of technical and non-technical information • Ability to communicate directly with clients and sometimes serve as primary client contact • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision • Ability to plan and delegate the work of others • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to meet physical demands, including frequent stationary work and movement through office, facility, and other environments; occasional lifting of equipment up to 25 pounds
