📋 Description

• Design and implement advanced REDCap databases for clinical research and public health studies • Develop and maintain REDCap integrations with external systems through APIs and ETL processes • Build automated imports/exports, scheduling, authentication, and data synchronization workflows • Develop data validation rules, discrepancy reports, quality assurance processes, and monitoring dashboards • Operationalize and document data collection workflows according to study protocols • Create and interpret internal and external study monitoring reports • Conduct QC, validation, and UAT of data collection procedures and systems • Develop testing plans and review findings • Evaluate and maintain knowledge of new EDC system functionality, APIs, and external modules • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on database design, programming techniques, and system capabilities • Follow established quality standards and procedures • Comply with federal regulations, client guidelines, corporate SOPs, and project work instructions

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. degree in computer sciences, health sciences, or another related field, plus 5+ years leading development of EDC systems; OR M.S. degree in a related field, plus 3+ years leading EDC system development • Experience with EDC systems such as REDCap, REDCap Cloud, SurveyCTO, or OpenClinica, including administration, design, quality control, and user acceptance testing • Advanced experience building complex longitudinal, multi-arm, multilingual, and survey-based REDCap projects • Experience integrating EDC systems with EHRs, laboratory systems, cloud storage, or reporting platforms through APIs or ETL pipelines • Experience designing edit checks, automated validation rules, data cleaning workflows, discrepancy management, and audit processes • Experience managing development, testing, and production environments using documented change control, versioning, and release management practices • Advanced QA/QC and troubleshooting skills related to REDCap configuration, APIs, system performance, and external system integrations • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytic and organizational skills and excellent attention to detail • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently • U.S. Citizenship is required • Familiarity with clinical research data standards and regulations such as NIH Common Data Elements, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, or FAIR principles is highly desirable
