📋 Description

• Set the AI strategy and technical goals for the clinical AI portfolio with product and engineering • Define standards for clinical AI capabilities in production and measure progress against them • Co-shape portfolio technical direction and resolve cross-discipline tradeoffs • Ensure clinical AI capabilities integrate with the broader clinical intelligence platform • Translate CVS Health and regulatory requirements into engineering and modeling practices • Advance use of modern AI and machine learning, including large language models and generative AI, on clinical data • Raise standards for model evaluation, monitoring, and clinical validation • Improve production AI cost, latency, reliability, and scalability • Promote reusable model patterns, evaluation harnesses, and generalizable approaches • Directly manage and develop data scientists across portfolio squads • Hire, coach, and retain clinical AI talent and develop senior technical leaders

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or applied AI • Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning solutions • Experience with natural language processing, large language models, and generative AI • 5+ years setting AI/ML technical direction across multiple teams • 5+ years of people management experience, including hiring, developing, and retaining technical teams • Experience delivering healthcare AI or analytics capabilities to production at enterprise scale • Experience with clinical, claims, or member data • Production ML experience with model evaluation, monitoring, lifecycle management, cost, latency, reliability, and scalability tradeoffs • Experience operating under healthcare AI regulatory and responsible AI constraints, including HIPAA, NCQA or equivalent standards, and AI governance guidance • Fluency in Python and SQL • Strong communication and collaboration skills with senior product, engineering, and executive stakeholders • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline • Master's degree or higher preferred
