📋 Description

• Lead data management activities for clinical, observational, and epidemiologic research studies from study start-up through database closeout • Design, develop, and maintain study databases and data management processes, including collection instruments, validation rules, specifications, cleaning procedures, and data transfers • Perform advanced SAS programming to clean, transform, validate, integrate, and manage complex research datasets • Develop and execute data quality and validation procedures, including programmed checks, reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and independent QC • Integrate and reconcile data from multiple sources while maintaining consistency, completeness, traceability, and documentation • Develop and maintain study datasets, reports, extracts, and data releases, including interim data cuts and final deliverables • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data management and programming staff • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with study requirements, SOPs, regulatory and privacy requirements, and data management standards

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, or another related field and seven or more years of programming and data management experience in health research, OR M.S. degree in a related field and five or more years of such experience • Advanced SAS programming capabilities, including DATA and PROC steps, macro programming, data transformation and integration, complex data validation, and reusable programming solutions • Demonstrated experience managing complex research data, preferably in clinical, observational, epidemiologic, or biomedical research studies • Strong understanding of the full research data lifecycle • Experience integrating and reconciling data from multiple sources while maintaining data integrity, traceability, and documentation • Ability to independently lead complex data management and programming activities, define technical approaches, manage priorities, identify risks, and deliver within timelines • Experience developing and implementing quality-control procedures and independently reviewing data, code, datasets, and technical deliverables • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills • Experience with R, Python, SQL, database architecture and development, Git or other version control systems, APIs, or similar technologies is highly desirable • Familiarity with clinical research data standards and regulations, including NIH Common Data Elements, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, or FAIR principles, is highly desirable
