📋 Description

• Lead financial management across Care in Action (501(c)(4)), its PAC, and affiliated entities including NDWA Labs. • Manage monthly close, expense and treasury approvals, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities. • Serve as Board Treasurer and the lead point of contact for external auditors. • Coordinate with NDWA's accounting team, the Development department, legal/compliance staff, and senior leadership to ensure the financial health, accuracy, and sustainability of the organization. • Play a leading role in the annual budget process by supporting key staff in developing program budgets.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or advocacy organization. • Experience working with 501(c)(4) organizations and/or Political Action Committees (PACs). • Demonstrated ability to prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, budget vs. actual reports, and cash flow projections. • Strong understanding of restricted and unrestricted fund accounting, grant financial reporting, and nonprofit revenue recognition. • Experience managing an audit process and working with external auditors. • Ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously, including intercompany transactions and allocations. • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance staff and board members. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a distributed team.
