📋 Description

• Develop, deploy, support, design, and test the Maestro Care (Epic) Electronic Health Record for the Beaker module • Plan, perform, manage, and support identified Beaker users in the Duke University Health System environment • Collaborate with Epic and other Maestro Care application staff on deployment tasks • Interpret clinical workflows and participate in Beaker application build, testing, and support • Advise and assist with educational issues, including cross-training team members, end-users, and the DHTS Service Desk • Act as the Maestro Care Beaker application expert for base functionality • Update test plans for new features in releases • Analyze end-user workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues associated with Epic software • Complete application deployment, management, and testing tasks within defined timelines • Manage documentation, resolution, and completion of deployment issues and tasks • Build, test, and debug Epic applications • Write and execute test plans; document and resolve defects in Quality Center • Develop and document system and user procedures • Develop report specifications and work with writers on operational and regulatory reporting needs • Provide business and after-hours support for production issues, including analysis, prioritization, and requested changes • Make oral and written presentations to project teams, management, and other departments • Coordinate and operationalize simple to complex projects • Identify procedural improvements and specify functions for automation • Support Epic deployment issue resolution through Sherlock tracking systems • Lead evaluation and revision of existing information systems • Assist with onboarding and training new team members • Apprise management of emerging technical issues and maintain effective processes and workflows • Support personnel oversight and workflow management activities as a team leader when applicable • Manage Nova release-note analysis, reporting metrics, validation, and resolution before designated Epic RA and/or SU implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related clinical or technical field or four years of equivalent technical experience • Epic proficiency in application support is required within the timeline defined by Maestro Care policies • Level 2: Three to five years of related experience required • Level 2: Clinical Laboratory experience is required • Knowledge of project management to manage deliverables • Design specifications for information systems • Implementation and maintenance of information systems • Quality assurance • Adult learning and training methods • Customer service • Critical thinking • Statistical reporting • General data coding • Data analysis and trending • Effective oral and written communication • Application configuration • User technical support/training • Ability to translate business processes into technical solutions • Current Epic Beaker certification or ability to complete certifications within the defined timeline • Preferred: Experience with Data Innovation Instrument Manager • Preferred: Experience with Transfusion applications such as SafeTrace Tx • Preferred: Strong knowledge of Microbiology Beaker CP build • Preferred: Experience with Digital Pathology image analysis and data management systems • Preferred: Proven experience in IT infrastructure management (servers, networks, etc.) • Preferred: Understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and AI technologies • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
