📋 Description

• Handle import files end-to-end from initial file opening through entry filing, compliance auditing, and invoicing • Open new files and follow up on required shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices • Pre-key files for entry review and filing • File accurate ISF (10+2) submissions within CBP-required timeframes before vessel loading • Manage ISF files and organize supporting documentation • Track and trace shipments through each stage of the shipment and entry lifecycle • Identify delays or missing information proactively • Attach arrival notices and maintain accurate firms code, container, vessel, air, and in-bond tracking information • Maintain current file status for internal visibility and client communication • Prepare and file electronic FTZ Zone Admission entries (e214) via ABI/ACE • Verify admission documentation against zone inventory records and confirm merchandise status • Follow up with concurrence messaging and piece-count verifications • Consolidate weekly zone withdrawals for consumption into weekly entry filings • Apply compliance data covering Section 301, ADD/CVD, SPI, FDA, USDA Lacey Act, EPA TSCA, and NOP • File completed weekly entries via ABI/ACE within required CBP timeframes • Audit files before invoicing for charge accuracy, duty calculations, and documentation completeness • Pay arrival notices and non-urgent invoices in a timely manner • Flag discrepancies between billed charges and file documentation • Ensure compliance with 19 CFR Parts 141/142 and FTZ requirements under 19 CFR 146 • Monitor Partner Government Agency requirements and confirm licenses and permits are on file • Respond to CBP requests for information, holds, or exams • Support post-summary corrections and protests • Maintain records according to CBP’s 5-year recordkeeping requirement • Communicate with importers, freight forwarders, carriers, NVOs, and internal zone personnel to resolve documentation, tracking, or billing issues • Perform other duties or projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university; 0-3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Strong knowledge of compliance and documentation in both ocean and air freight forwarding • Experience with customs entry filing, ISF, or FTZ operations preferred • Working knowledge of HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin rules • Familiarity with ABI/ACE filing systems • Proficiency in Excel (INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF, and similar formula-based tools) for entry data reconciliation • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of files simultaneously • Ability to show passion for customer service endeavoring flawless execution • Ability to multi-task and keep up with a fast-paced environment • Ability to focus on problem solving with the ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations • Ability to use time efficiently and to set challenging goals and objectives • Working knowledge of CargoWise 6.0 • Ability to perform sedentary computer-based work, including reaching, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus • Ability to stand, walk, or otherwise remain mobile frequently • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 10 pounds, with lifting and carrying requirements of up to 15 pounds • Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise • Bilingual English and Spanish is desired but not required
