📋 Description

• Provide advanced actuarial analysis and technical support for complex rating and pricing, valuation, and financial forecasting work • Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, health insurance, and business principles to key actuarial functions • Partner with actuarial teams to ensure a coordinated approach across health programs • Support Network Management, Underwriting, and Sales and Marketing • Handle highly complex actuarial modeling • Lead or provide consultative support for assigned projects as an expert in the field • Develop and maintain rating models • Perform medical trend analysis • Support administrative expense factor development • Conduct experience studies and rating factor studies • Support rate filing development • Work with FP&A to develop plan forecasts for assigned segments • Evaluate financial impacts of provider contract changes • Provide ad hoc support for underwriting requests • Support new product development and new/existing product programs • Maintain continuing education requirements set by the appropriate actuarial governing body • Potentially provide team leadership for assigned projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree where required • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) • Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) • 5+ years of experience in a related field • Alternate actuarial credentials may be considered in lieu of an ASA • Fellows of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) may be considered in lieu of 5 years of experience • Maintain continuing education requirements set by the appropriate actuarial governing body • Authorization to work in the United States
