📋 Description

• Plan and conduct audits for all ABS QE audit programs according to relevant program requirements • Maintain audit independence • Complete audit reports and required post-audit activities • Review management system manuals and associated documentation for compliance with requirements and applicable codes and/or standards • Plan, schedule, and conduct initial, surveillance, and re-certification audits • Prepare and maintain audit logs and required documentation • Prepare and issue reports and recommendations for certification • Lead introductory and closing meetings at client facilities • Perform additional program-specific roles and responsibilities defined in each program procedure • Perform other necessary duties within experience and capabilities • Report to the Operations, Country, or District Manager; no direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university, preferably in an engineering/technical discipline, or equivalent quality experience • Previous experience with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Environmental, or Safety & Health activities, including auditing experience • Minimum three (3) years of industry experience, typically in Health & Safety (risk management), and/or knowledge of labor legislation • Familiarity with appropriate system standards and competence in areas to be assessed • Passed an IRCA or similar accredited 5-day Social Accountability, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or OHS 18001 Lead Auditor course • Previous experience with Social Accountability audits, including SA 8000, SEDEX, SMETA, and CSR • Comfortable with extensive domestic travel • Excellent decision-making and organizational skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work with moderate supervision • Teamwork • Accuracy and timeliness in work performed • Flexibility in achieving duties • Working knowledge of SAI and/or SEDEX databases • Ability to obtain working knowledge of the ABS Quality Evaluations Quality & Environmental Management System • APSCA CSCA status preferred
