Earlens is a medical device company that makes an FDA-cleared “contact” hearing solution that uses a tiny custom Lens placed on the eardrum to directly vibrate it, driven wirelessly by an ear-tip and behind-the-ear processor. The system is designed to restore a broader audible frequency range — especially high frequencies important for speech understanding and music quality — than traditional acoustic hearing aids. Earlens devices are fitted and can be removed by trained Ear, Nose and Throat physicians or certified providers; the company markets to patients and providers and emphasizes improved speech-in-noise performance and natural sound quality.

📋 Description

• Conduct hearing assessments and diagnostics using remote technology and interpret results for practices and patients • Provide remote counseling and support to patients regarding hearing loss and Virsono solutions • Recommend, sell, and fit appropriate Earlens solutions and air conduction systems • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system • Assist with scheduling activities and work with local and national resources • Provide excellent patient care and proactive customer service while minimizing returns • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and referral sources as needed • Stay up to date with advancements in hearing technology and telehealth technology • Meet clinic productivity and quality standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Audiology, Hearing Science, or related field • CA state license to practice as a Hearing Instrument Specialist • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hearing instrument fitting and dispensing • Experience with telehealth technology and remote patient care is preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time • Must be able to use a computer and telehealth technology
