📋 Description

• Build ECP Intelligence tool surfaces through which agents act • Build retrieval and context layers grounding agents in clinical and operational data • Build the serving path that product teams use to reach a model • Build evaluation systems that catch regressions before customers do • Build the first agent workflows • Prove what agents cannot do in clinical software • Take ownership of shared production components used by every delivery team • Define interfaces and make boundaries between the legacy platform and newer services explicit • Help determine which shared components the platform organization takes on first • Extend the event bus adoption • Add contract testing so services can be verified independently • Support the messaging backbone for other engineering teams • Write Node and TypeScript code while designing compatibility with the ColdFusion legacy platform • Report to the VP of Platform Engineering as one of four senior engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building shared components or platform services depended on by other teams, with ongoing accountability; this is not a first platform role • Real depth in domain-driven design and event-driven architecture, including bounded contexts, anti-corruption layers, and event-driven patterns • Experience building production systems behind an AI feature using messy, governed, inconveniently shaped data • Experience carrying a pager for a system depended on by other teams • Breadth across more than one language and paradigm, with real depth in at least one • Ability to become productive quickly in an unfamiliar technology stack • Data modeling and query performance experience under real load • Experience with AI-augmented development and understanding of where human review is required • Preferred: meaningful customer-facing AI features beyond chatbots • Preferred: PHI or other regulated data in an AI or analytics path • Preferred: multi-tenant SaaS at scale, with tenant isolation as a data-layer concern • Preferred: Node and TypeScript, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and AWS • Preferred: building alongside a legacy platform during migration • Preferred: contract testing or service virtualization in an event-driven system • Preferred: mentoring engineers or interest in growing into mentorship
