📋 Description

• Promote Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care • Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and the patient physician’s certification • Follow the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist under supervision • Immediately report changes in patient status to the Physical Therapist • Verify the Plan of Care before each visit • Provide care according to physician’s orders, assessment data, and established standards and guidelines • Incorporate patient care goals from the Plan of Care into therapy care • Instruct patients and families in the safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices • Instruct patients or caregivers in the therapy home program • Provide physical therapy assistant services through home visits • Report to the Branch Director, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or designee

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association • Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work • 6+ months’ experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred • Able and willing to travel within the branch/office coverage area • Dependable vehicle • Valid driver’s license • Current auto insurance in accordance with state laws • Able and willing to travel 50% • Able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently • Able to lift 50–100 lbs. • Physically able to work in a high-stress environment • Able to work irregular hours, including call hours if applicable • Adherence to State Practice Act Guidelines
