It funds and supports programs in education and employability, youth advocacy and social justice, sustainability and connectivity, agriculture and conservation, and food security (including an annual Rice for Life food drive), aiming to create transformative, community-led change through grants, partnerships, and direct programming.

📋 Description

• Develop MEAL plans and frameworks for each program • Define indicators, data sources, collection methods, responsibilities, and reporting schedules • Develop standardized and context-specific monitoring and data collection tools • Establish workflows and systems for routine collection, validation, analysis, reporting, and use of program data • Strengthen organizational capacity to maintain and use the MEAL system on an ongoing basis • Support staff training, documentation, and handover for sustainability after the consultancy • Develop one common EHF MEAL architecture with program-specific adaptations for Hope Power Project, Creative Futures, and DYSF • Conduct a focused MEAL diagnostic and identify implementation priorities • Develop the organizational MEAL framework, master indicator framework, program MEAL plans, toolkit, accountability tools, workflow, SOPs, Google Sheets tracking system, dashboard, and maintenance roadmap • Support one live reporting and data-collection cycle, refine the system, and complete final handover

🎯 Requirements

• Significant professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning • Experience designing organizational or multi-program MEAL systems • Demonstrated experience developing MEAL plans, indicators, data collection tools, and reporting frameworks • Experience building monitoring workflows and sustainable data management processes • Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative monitoring methods • Experience supporting programs operating across multiple countries or contexts • Ability to translate technical MEAL concepts into practical tools for program staff • Experience delivering staff training and capacity building • Strong analytical, facilitation, and technical writing skills • Experience working with global programs, or comparable contexts is desirable • Deep contextual understanding of Africa through lived experience, long-term professional engagement, or meaningful personal connection • Alignment with the organization's mission and values • Resume and brief cover letter describing experience and fit
