📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address students' specific needs and promote skill development • Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention plans as needed • Provide consultation and support to teachers and other school staff regarding strategies to promote students' participation and success in the classroom • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students' academic and functional needs • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' education plans • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field • Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which you live in which you are practicing • Must be Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) • Passionate about working with K-12 students in a virtual setting • Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric occupational therapy • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Computer skills, including email and Microsoft Teams • Experience in teletherapy • Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and other therapeutic modalities (preferred) • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Occasionally able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
