📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities • Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs • Provide direct therapy services targeting articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals • Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist • Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred) • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred) • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues and clients • Occasionally able to stand, walk, reach, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds • Must hold an active Michigan license
