• Drive integration of HEOR from early clinical development through commercialization • Develop and oversee health outcomes research strategy for compounds in Lilly’s cardiometabolic health portfolio • Serve as senior HEOR strategic partner on lead/core teams throughout development and commercialization • Formulate and drive Patient Focused Outcome, Real World Evidence, and economic value strategies for priority products and geographies • Establish consistent and agile HEOR standards across the portfolio • Develop high-impact science across the product lifecycle to support evidence needs and improve patient outcomes • Apply technical expertise and disease-state knowledge to address registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access issues • Guide and mentor junior scientists and colleagues in HEOR methodologies and best practices • Lead health outcomes evidence planning and implementation with cross-functional teams • Influence business partners on HEOR prioritization, trade-offs, and recommendations • Consult and provide strategic direction on leveraging HEOR across the enterprise • Triage business partner requests with prioritization and timeliness • Lead, manage, coach, and develop a team of HEOR scientists • Allocate talent and resources across the cardiometabolic health portfolio • Build an inclusive, high-accountability team culture • Communicate health outcomes information to internal partners, the scientific community, and customers • Drive research dissemination through abstracts, posters, podium presentations, promotional materials, and manuscripts • Plan and drive application of research results and deliverables • Maintain awareness of disease-state and health outcomes developments, methodologies, applications, market needs, and trends • Monitor and influence internal and external factors shaping health outcomes research • Ensure projects meet timelines, budget, and scope by coordinating with cross-functional partners and external collaborators
• Doctorate (PhD, MD) with 7+ years of experience in creating, executing, and delivering HO strategies/projects OR PharmD/MS degree with 7+ years of experience in creating, executing, and delivering HO strategies/projects • Strong comprehension and communication skills, including translating and disseminating complex scientific information clearly and concisely • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate within and across teams • Demonstrated experience setting and leading HEOR strategy across a portfolio or therapeutic area • Demonstrated people-leadership experience formally managing, developing, and leading scientists • Proven ability to influence senior internal and external decision-makers • Demonstrated ability to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination • Ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and solution orientation • Knowledge of HO disciplines, therapeutic-area disease states, drug development and commercialization, and geographic market knowledge • Technical expertise in statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, PFO development, observational/epidemiologic research, and health technology or value assessment • Willingness to travel 10–25% domestically and internationally
