📋 Description

• Serve as a field-based Medical Science Liaison providing scientific and clinical information to scientific and clinical experts • Synthesize the latest research on products, disease states, and standards of care • Engage in scientific exchange and respond to medical information needs • Establish trusted relationships by providing unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date medical and scientific information • Support healthcare professionals in sharing evidence and addressing clinical care gaps • Connect scientific and clinical experts with Lilly resources and internal business partners • Facilitate collaborative research opportunities • Partner with clinical development on studies and investigators, including site identification, selection, and recruitment • Analyze customer data and execute strategic territory plans • Prioritize face-to-face and virtual engagement with assigned experts • Use territory analytics for customer identification and routing prioritization • Coordinate compliantly with other Lilly field roles sharing customers • Synthesize and communicate actionable customer and clinical insights to Lilly Medical and cross-functional teams • Cultivate internal networks and collaborate across functions • Contribute to team goals and work effectively with peers • Execute the role compliantly while adhering to governing requirements, procedures, and laws

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically related field) required • Two years of relevant clinical or therapeutic-area experience desired for PharmD, MD, or PhD candidates • Master's or bachelor's-level degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered with 5+ years of clinical, research, or industry experience in a relevant therapeutic area • Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required • Authorized to work full-time in the United States; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization or visas • Learning agility to comprehend and communicate complex scientific content clearly and concisely • Strategic and critical-thinking experience to analyze, assess, and evaluate information • Advanced presentation and computer skills, with expertise in literature identification • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Self-directed ability to work alone in the field while managing multiple priorities and projects • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, emotional-intelligence, relationship-building, and networking skills • Resiliency in managing complex challenges • Intellectual curiosity about the specialized science/medicine field • Ability to use field-based tools and adapt as technology advances • Applicants should live within the Upper Midwest geography: North/South Dakota, Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin, Missouri, Southern Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, or Oklahoma, and near a transport hub • Ability to travel up to 80%, including weekend commitments • Experience in a field-based working environment highly valued • Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, medical research, and medical education highly preferred • Familiarity with digital platforms for virtual HCP engagement highly valued • Gastrointestinal and/or thoracic oncology therapeutic-area experience strongly preferred
