📋 Description

• Lead and manage the performance of a team of Medical Science Liaisons in dermatology • Provide vision and expectations for the MSL team • Coach team-member performance, development, and scientific/MSL role-specific capabilities • Recruit, hire, develop, and promote top talent • Contribute to succession planning and talent development • Support and execute the Field Medical Qualification process when necessary • Partner with internal medical, development, commercial, compliance, legal, and medical affairs stakeholders • Participate in Regional Health Care Market forums and maximize medical-commercial interactions • Document field coaching notes and support PESA development plans • Develop and implement regional field medical strategies aligned with business-unit and medical-affairs strategies • Develop field medical business plans and participate in higher-level planning • Align MSL activities with clinical and scientific objectives and support evidence-generation efforts • Collaborate with MSL leadership across the business unit and enterprise • Support medical affairs staffing at congresses and communicate clinical insights to Lilly • Oversee MSL congress activities, including messaging, abstract submissions, and symposium planning • Oversee team quality, compliance, accountability, and effectiveness • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws, regulations, and guidelines • Ensure appropriate documentation processes • Analyze MSL activity data to improve performance • Manage team finance and HR-related issues • Identify and participate in process-improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Minimum 3 years of formal people leadership experience • Minimum 5 years of industry, clinical and/or medical experience • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas • Preferred: Master's in health sciences (e.g., RN, RPh, PA, NP) • Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, M.D., Ph.D.) in a medically related field • Prior experience with scientific or field strategy, demonstrating business acumen, strategic thinking, operational and execution excellence • Ability to acquire scientific and technical knowledge • Ability to provide effective feedback on verbal and written technical communications and documentation • Leadership ability to achieve results through people • Experience motivating people and coaching/developing technical personnel • Ability to partner, influence, and work successfully within and across business units, functions, and leadership levels • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building professional relationships and networking • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and incorporate new learning into real-time solutions • Decision-making and problem-solving ability, including developing and implementing creative solutions • Willingness to travel up to 50–75%
