• Lead complex, multi-stream research initiatives spanning products, platforms, services, or therapeutic areas • Define research strategy by identifying knowledge gaps, prioritizing high-value questions, and aligning research with product, business, and user outcomes • Translate ambiguous requests into clear decision frameworks • Select and apply qualitative, quantitative, or mixed research methods • Establish appropriate rigor for each decision context while balancing speed, depth, and confidence • Design ethical, accessible, unbiased, inclusive, and regulatory-compliant research approaches • Synthesize complex, multi-source data into decision-ready insights, implications, and recommendations • Connect evidence across studies, products, timeframes, and user populations to identify patterns, unmet needs, and opportunities • Influence product, design, engineering, clinical, and business decisions through research findings • Partner with cross-functional leaders in complex, ambiguous, regulated environments • Coach researchers and cross-functional partners • Improve research methods, tools, standards, and processes • Develop reusable research frameworks, playbooks, templates, and knowledge systems • Advance responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies in research workflows
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, Behavioral Science, or a related field • 8+ years of progressive, hands-on UX research experience • Experience supporting digital products, services, platforms, or complex workflows • Deep expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods • Portfolio demonstrating methodological rigor, sound judgment, and research-informed decisions • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States • Strong research judgment and ability to select appropriate rigor • Ability to synthesize complex evidence into clear, actionable recommendations • Systems thinking across products, user populations, and business priorities • Strong product and business acumen • Comfort navigating ambiguity and framing ill-defined problems • Ability to influence decisions without direct authority • Executive communication and storytelling skills • Ability to coach others and elevate research quality • Pragmatic approach balancing rigor, speed, and business needs • Commitment to ethical research, accessibility, and participant privacy • Curiosity and willingness to leverage AI responsibly
