📋 Description

• Participate in a Summer 2027 paid internship in Strategic Analytics at EMC Insurance • Build data science solutions under close supervision • Gather structured and/or unstructured data to create modeling datasets • Clean and preprocess data • Perform exploratory data analysis to assess data fitness and identify relationships, patterns, and trends • Share analysis results with a supervisor for review • Learn EMC and departmental culture, structure, and functions across branches • Research and recommend at least one emerging technology or innovation • Develop understanding of insurance operations, ratemaking, statistical analysis, data management, and computer programming

🎯 Requirements

• Data science, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or finance major • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher • Interest in a property casualty insurance career • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Analytical ability • Strong organizational skills • Sound decision-making and problem-solving • Attention to detail • Good computer skills • Completion of junior year preferred
