• Provide tactical direction, establish priorities, assign tasks, coordinate projects, and provide expertise and support to technicians at job sites • Ensure technicians perform work safely and are trained in technical skill sets and administrative functions • Complete preventive maintenance and repairs according to work order requirements • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including repairing and unclogging toilets and urinals and maintaining valves, fixtures, and sensors • Perform routine painting, carpentry, wall, floor, door, and general maintenance work • Perform minor electrical maintenance permitted without a license under state law • Complete service inspections and asset inspections • Lead, coach, and provide trade knowledge to technicians • Train new employees in EMCOR Field Organizational practices and procedures • Observe technician workmanship and accuracy of associated administrative functions • Assist technicians with complicated or skilled work orders • Serve as facilities maintenance subject matter expert • Complete other duties assigned by the Regional Manager • Complete assigned work orders and communicate status through tablet or designated business systems • Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance • Travel locally between properties daily
• HS diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or specialty floor care • Five or more years of mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience • Related work experience in one or more building trades demonstrating ability to perform the duties • Must possess applicable certifications and licenses • Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Ability to speak effectively before customer or employee groups • Ability to complete work orders promptly and communicate status using a tablet or designated business systems • Ability to operate tablet devices and business/document management software, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Word, and Excel • Knowledge of applicable building-operation, regulatory, governmental-agency, company, OSHA, and work-safety requirements • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems • Ability to perform daily local travel between properties • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working around mechanical parts, electrical hazards, heights, chemicals, weather, and vibration
