📋 Description

• Serve as the primary technical resource and Emerson representative for assigned customer locations • Build strong customer partnerships through consistent engagement, responsiveness, and technical expertise • Deliver training and technical guidance on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting best practices • Support installation, modification, maintenance, commissioning, startup, and repair of control systems and related equipment • Provide technical consultation and recommendations to improve equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency • Investigate and resolve technical challenges using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis • Develop, update, and improve maintenance procedures, quality processes, and operational practices • Support projects through engineering support, Factory Acceptance Testing, installation, commissioning, startup, testing, and ongoing customer support • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, reliability, and effectiveness • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, technical findings, and customer recommendations • Champion safety and ensure work complies with applicable standards, regulations, and procedures • Serve Emerson's dedicated local presence for a strategic customer supporting critical water infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience • Minimum of three (3) years of engineering, field service, operations, maintenance, automation, or technical support experience within industrial, utility, manufacturing, water/wastewater, power generation, or related industries • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical and operational issues within complex systems • Experience with or willingness to learn skills leading and implementing engineering solutions for DCS and SCADA projects • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a customer-focused environment • Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, the Southeast Virginia, Hampton Roads, or Eastern Shore region • Ability and willingness to travel regionally up to 75% • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided now or in the future • Preferred: Experience with DCS, PLC, or industrial automation systems • Preferred: Working knowledge of Ladder Logic, SAMA diagrams, and P&ID drawings • Preferred: Experience in power generation, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or other critical infrastructure industries • Preferred: Familiarity with process control systems, instrumentation, and industrial networking technologies • Preferred: Previous customer-facing field engineering, commissioning, startup, or technical service experience
