📋 Description

• Build and own a pipeline of new community bank and credit union prospects • Partner with the demand generation team • Conduct researched, multi-touch outreach to CEOs, CFOs, CROs, treasurers and other senior leaders • Represent Empyrean at industry conferences and client events • Drive attendance to webinars and follow up with prospects • Own the full sales cycle from lead discovery through presentations, demos, pricing and contract negotiation • Deliver presentations and demos alongside sales engineers • Manage deals in Salesforce using MEDDIC • Bring deals to weekly reviews for coaching • Sell ALM, liquidity planning, budgeting and forecasting, profitability, CECL, Empyrean Reporting: Console and Model IQ • Build a territory and develop new business among community banks and credit unions

🎯 Requirements

• Must live in or near the territory covered • Track record of winning new customers, not mostly managing existing accounts • Ability to explain deal sources, prospecting activities and sales results • Research-driven, personalized outreach capability • Experience overcoming product, pricing and sales-process challenges • Ability to work independently and manage a territory • Clear, confident presentation skills with senior finance leaders • Ability to handle tough questions calmly • Knowledge of how banks buy software, or ability to learn quickly • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally selling B2B or fintech software • Experience with risk and performance management solutions such as ALM, budgeting, profitability or CECL, on the software or banking side • Experience selling complex solutions to C-suite or bank finance teams • MEDDIC or similar deal-qualification experience
