📋 Description

• Provide risk improvement consultation to large and middle market commercial customers in the Property Business Unit in the US • Evaluate processes, conduct on-site visits of existing and prospective clients, and aid underwriters in account selection and pricing • Track account-level trends and communicate effectively with clients and brokers • Conduct surveys at client locations to determine hazards and risk factors for underwriting and risk selection • Analyze loss trends and identify opportunities to provide risk control products and services that reduce losses • Review engineering reports and create client-facing reports • Prioritize and evaluate new and renewal work volumes to meet department goals • Attend client and broker meetings, lunches, dinners, and other social outings as applicable • Expand relationships with existing and prospective clients • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards and monitor changes relevant to loss control • Explore new technologies for delivering loss control services • Produce thought leadership articles or create Risk Control library resources as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, Science, or another related field • Relevant professional designations or certifications such as EIT, PE, CFPS, or ARM are highly desirable • Comprehensive understanding of fire protection, property construction protection and exposures, and business interruption exposures and controls • Minimum 5–7 years of risk control experience • Experience with fire protection required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to plan strategically and prioritize workload to meet objectives • Ability to be a team player • Ability to travel up to 50% • Proficiency in property loss control skills
