📋 Description

• Provide premium software support and services to Ensono mainframe clients related to CICS • Fulfill customer service orders for z/OS customers concerning CICS TS and related OEM software products • Provide primary support for reported CICS TS and related OEM product problems • Install OEM software products according to best practices and Ensono standards • Prepare customer partitions for approximately annual operating-system upgrades using proactive-action checklists • Support customer migration services and newly acquired customer transitions • Assist project managers with customer migrations and resolve technical hurdles without delaying transition progress or migration dates • Execute tasks associated with customer disaster recovery plans in cooperation with Disaster Recovery Services • Manage schedules and resources to enable timely implementations • Follow ITSM change-control procedures, including implementing vendor fixes and upgrading, maintaining, enhancing, or adding options to applicable z/OS products

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience • 10+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform, including hands-on installation and maintenance related to CICS TS and OEM product support • Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS capabilities, use, installation, and tailoring • Thorough working knowledge and experience with IBM SMP/E • Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and tailoring • Thorough working knowledge of products used to monitor CICS TS region performance • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Ability to multitask and work under short deadlines and in high-pressure situations • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Availability for 24 x 7 x 365 support across multiple time zones • 8AM to 5PM local-time shift • On-call, overtime, and scheduled weekend work required
