📋 Description

• Lead and grow Equality Now’s major gifts portfolio, including gala sponsorships, mid-level giving, and donor engagement • Operationalize the Individual & Major Giving strategy and translate the 2026–2030 development strategy into actionable plans, systems, and donor pathways • Drive high-touch major donor growth, network mapping, Advisory Board and Ambassador engagement, and UHNW donor strategies • Partner with the CEO and Chief Development Officer on high-value donor and prospect cultivation • Align major gifts, gala sponsorships, mid-level, and annual giving across the individual giving portfolio • Maintain and improve pipeline development, donor qualification, moves management, portfolio tracking, and forecasting systems • Develop donor-facing cases for support, investment opportunities, proposals, impact updates, briefings, and reports • Manage a portfolio of high-value donors and prospects capable of $10,000–$250,000+ giving • Oversee and elevate the mid-level donor program and donor journeys • Represent Equality Now externally and cultivate philanthropic and peer networks • Plan and execute donor events, including galas, cultivation salons, and community-building convenings • Produce reporting, analytics, revenue projections, and pipeline health updates • Supervise, coach, mentor, and manage staff performance and development • Foster inclusive, accountable, transparent, and high-performing team culture • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, ethical standards, safeguarding requirements, and applicable laws

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • 10+ years of progressively responsible fundraising experience • Substantial, independent donor-facing work and staff/program management experience • Deep expertise in major gift fundraising, high-touch donor engagement strategies, and moves management • Demonstrated success securing 5–7 figure gifts from individuals and family foundations • Strong understanding or direct experience in event fundraising and development operations • Familiarity with global human rights, women’s rights, and gender equality funding landscapes highly desirable • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff • Fluent in English • Proficiency in Spanish, French, or Arabic is a plus • Exceptional donor relationship management and communication skills • Demonstrated leadership experience and operational excellence • Strong project management skills • Experience with database management, such as Raiser’s Edge NXT or equivalent • Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically, sometimes on short notice • Master’s degree, continuing education, or significant professional experience in relevant fields highly desired • CFRE certification and relevant fields such as International Relations, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, Law, or Human Rights highly desired
