📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management for psychiatrically complex patients with eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions • Provide psychiatric assessments and consultation to outside psychiatric providers for ongoing treatment • Implement medication treatment plans in a virtual telehealth clinic • Evaluate eating disorder-related medical risk within the psychiatric scope of care, including effects on psychiatric symptoms, medication decisions, safety, and level-of-care needs • Collaborate with medical providers, dietitians, therapists, patient mentors, family mentors, and outside providers • Use between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR • Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, learning opportunities, and department meetings • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Physician Assistant • Maintain an active license to practice in the state(s) where patients reside, or be willing to become licensed in other states • Commitment to excellent evidence-based care, advancing clinical skills, and professional development • Effective communication with patients and patient carers, with timely message responses • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiastic participation in a multidisciplinary team • Comfort and experience treating eating disorders, emotion dysregulation, suicidal ideation, substance use, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and ADHD • Ability to provide direct patient care, including new-patient and follow-up sessions • Ability to work until 6 pm two evenings per week • Ability to attend mandatory meetings • Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours
